Race Track Coasters

Race Track Coasters

I made these coasters as a Christmas present for Randy so that he would have some manly coasters for the garage. (He has a very big garage and he uses it as his “mancave”) These were my husband’s idea so they are “man approved” hahah. These coasters turned out really well and they would make a great handmade gift for any guy interested in racing!

Here is what you need to make your own:

-          Tiles – I got mine from Home Depot

-          Paint – I used Martha Stewart’s all-purpose paint in Chipotle

-          Stencil or Adhesive Spray

-          A Printout of your chosen racetracks

-          Little felt pieces for the bottoms of the coasters

2

Make sure that your printouts are the right size to fit on each coaster! Once you have them you can go ahead and cut out each one. Then use a little bit of the stencil or adhesive spray to stick it onto the coaster. Once you have it on there you can use it like a stencil to outline each racetrack.

Once that is done and dry you can peel off the paper and you will be left with a racetrack!

After I was done I put the name of each racetrack on the bottom (just in case he didn’t know the tracks) and then added the little felt circles.

That is it! Really easy!!

Hope you like it!

  1. Thank you!! I’m really glad you like them since you are pretty much my target audience on this one! I checked out your blog and it is awesome! I even sent the link to Randy, it is right up his alley. :)

  2. Love these! Just goes to show handmade things don’t have to be ‘girly’. And to think, I just thought you guys were taking some time off over Christmas… in fact you were just making loads of cool presents for people!
