DIY Valentine’s Day Heart Gloves

Here is a little DIY on how to add a bit of Valentine’s Day Cheer to your February. This is a really easy project and is cute enough to be worn all winter, not just for Valentine’s Day.

For this project I decided to take a stab at felting (get it? Hahah stab, I’m so funny). Felting seems to be all the rage at the moment and I had never tried it. It really was super easy and the results were great!

What you will need

A pair of wool gloves – I bought mine from the dollar store for $1.25

A felting needle –  I bought mine from Michaels for $3.49, you can get much more expensive ones but I found this one worked fine.

Some foam – you can buy a felting block but for such a small project and my first time I didn’t really think it was worth it. It worked fine with just a piece of dense foam that I had lying around.

Some felting wool – I just used a small amount of white that I bought from Michaels for $1.99

An itty bitty heart shaped cookie cutter – or any size you like in any shape you like!

This is a really easy project. Just put the foam inside the glove, place the cookie cutter where you want your heart to go and fill it with some of the wool.

Then stab away. It takes a bit of time to really get it nice and compact and really stuck in there but it is so cute when it is done and you take away the cookie cutter.

Hope you like them!
